Numa Design Co loves working with new businesses so we were stoked to jump on board with Harpar Hair. Harpar Hair are a brand new hair salon opening up in East Geelong. They have a millennial luxe vibe going on so taking on their brand collateral was a dream.
Danielle, the owner of Harpar Hair, had a clear idea of her logo design but needed Numa Design Co to bring it to life. We also did the first of her brand collateral – her business/appointment cards.
The first step was to take Danielle’s sketches and begin to digitise them. Danielle had an affinity for a monospaced “H.” We created a custom “H.” wordmark based on a tweaked Courier New.
We balanced the monospaced type with a sleek sans serif font for “Harpar Hair”. This pairing was a no brainer in order to keep the brand relevant yet sophisticated.
We have love heart eyes for days over the vertical orientation of the card. This is a nice nod to the brand’s philosophy to be relevant and stylish. The card orientation gives just the right hit of edginess and helps it to stand out in a pile of business cards.
Lastly, can you even reference the word “millennial” and then not use millennial pink? No. Keeping in mind that the salon won’t just be catering to millennials we toned down the millennial pink right down so that it appeals to a broader demographic.
